What does “all-in cost” mean?

Most visa fee guides quote only the official government charge. That number rarely tells the whole story. The true cost of a visa application typically includes biometric enrolment fees, health surcharges, service-centre handling charges, and — for certain countries — mandatory health insurance or medical exam fees. These extras can easily double the headline figure.

visatab adds all of these mandatory charges together so you see one honest number before you apply. Every fee in the breakdown is labelled by type — official visa fee, biometrics, health surcharge, service fee — so nothing is hidden in a catch-all total.

What’s included in the calculation

• Official visa fee — the amount paid directly to the government or embassy
• Biometrics — fingerprint and photo collection charge, where required (for example, UK and Schengen applications)
• Health surcharge — mandatory healthcare contribution for multi-year visas (UK Immigration Health Surcharge, for instance)
• Service-centre fee — handling charge at VFS Global, TLScontact, or BLS International application centres
• Processing time — estimated working days from submission to decision, per visa type

Optional costs — travel insurance, document translation, courier return of your passport — are noted where relevant but not included in the total, since they vary by applicant.
